Heaven

HEAVEN. . . is there any other place like it?  today we did another lesson in the Blazing Center by John Piper, he did a really awesome job at doing it.  one of my favorite parts was when he was talking about heaven.

'Heaven is not a huge golf course,

heaven is a place where we will spend the rest of our days glorifying God. . . i can't wait to join the angels and sing my heaven song.

 you can kinda see the band-aid that is on my hand.  that's all i got today. along with my record of only getting shot once, only losing twice, only surrendered once (otherwise it would have been a point-blank shoot-out with my cousin dan (who is a police officer)) and killed seven people.  i did pretty okay. . .

it's okay *pat on the back, sigh*

so we got crushed today by bentonville. . . you don't even want to know the score.  okay, it was 10-2, but when we're playing for God's glory it doesn't matter if we win or if we lose.  it only matters if we play fairly(i'm not saying all our team were playing like they were playing for God or anything).  oh, and btw, one of my best bros, nathan hastings, really hurt his ankle tonight trying to volley the ball.  please pray for him, he's an awesome dude!  he's the one going with kade to ecuador in november

FINALLY!!!

so it is finally turning fall out here.  it came so quickly that i didn't recognize it until yesterday.  i took these on the way to church.

the conclusion. . . (drum roll)

okay so here comes the question. . . who won today?  well i'll tell you.  three minutes into the game kole had already scored two, we hit six, kade took a crack from half field and made an amazing goal.  then for some reason we let them put in three goals.  the score stays the same until the last minute of the game. . . (hush! i'm making the tension grow!)  kendra, the only girl on our team, in fact only a guest player, put one between the goalies legs, we were up!!!  (for now)  eureka springs got the ball on the kick-off, they were dribbling up the field, then they were in the box!  comes the shot!  deflected by the goalie.  punted out to safety and we had won!!!

Tournament

oh yes! i forgot!  we beat fayettville agian today in the tournament. althought i almost made us lose the game when we were tied by blowing an apportunity to score.  but kole managed to put one in with three minutes left in the game and we won.  tomorrow we will play eureka springs and hopefully we can pull off a win and bring home the cup.

Psalms 103:8-12

a bible verse that has really affected my lately is Psalms 103:8-12

The LORD is compassionate and gracious,

I have been SOOOO BUSY THESE DAYS i can't believe it!  tuesday i had a soccer game, wednesday i had to go to the ropes course, and then i had practice that night.  and tonight i had a game to ref.  and your not going to believe this but i have a soccer tournament to play in, a game on saturday, sunday, and monday!!!  among that my cousins, two police officers from beverley hills police department in CA are coming on sunday.  yeah, so hopefully i won't pass out during my games.

the ropes

                                 We went to the Jones Center Ropes Course today, it was beastly.

i'm telling you, i got pretty *ahem* scared out there!  you see that log on the right, the slanted one?  that was the hardest part of the whole course.  the highest it got out there was at least thirty feet off the ground.  and i am really scared of hights.  at the end, and at the top of the big tower you see is a giant zip line.  yes, it was even bigger than the one at the Bennets house Rach.

we played Fayetville today, and WE WON!!!!  i am so excited!!!

the pictures didn't turn out right, so this really stinks!  but anywho, aren't you just so excited?!?  'cause i am.  this is our first win, the end score was 3 - 2 Spartans.  I'll post later.  gotta go!!

iridium flares, cool sunsets, and an awesome song

So last night dad wanted to show us an iridium flare.  which happens when a satellite hits the exact spot that it reflects a very bright light back at the earth.  it turned out that we couldn't see it, either because we were looking in the wrong direction, or that it was too cloudy.  probably the latter.  but i got to take some awesome pics;
