tfo

i know, i know, you've all probably seen this at least ten times, but bear with me. my brother, kade, is a super awesome dude, totally of fiya for God, and missions, and the lost, orphans, so i know first-hand how awesome this organization, and if it would convince y'all i just recently gave $50 to the organization (i would have given more, had i had more). If you can't donate, your prayers would be even more awesome, and also if you could tell your friends and urge them to donate. James 1:27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." kade is really going after this verse, and if it makes him look weird because he cares, he's okay with that. all he's cared about is that these kids are looked after, and that they have a chance in this world. who knows, maybe someday one of these kids who were blessed by kade's selflessness may become a missionary to his city/country and end up leading many to Jesus. it's really a great organization, and every donation is God-sent. i hope many of you will be willing enough to donate and tell friends, oh yes, and your prayer.

now i have two more questions i have to answer.

26: A childhood memory.
when i still lived in CA we used to go to a park up in the mountains called Frasier Park. i thought it was the coolest place, because it snowed there. and that was the only time i ever got to see snow.

27: A physical feature you love.
i was wondering bleah if you wouldn't mind if i changed this a little? Here:
27: A feature you love in someone.
you could also call it inside beauty, i love someone who is forgiving, or doesn't take offence easily. i think that's the greatest.

sorry bleah, it's just i don't think i'm ready to share that yet. no offence.

yeah i know this is a pretty long post so i'd better just sign off, i hope y'all will be willing to give a little, tell your friends, and pray for our organization. 'cause really it's not a one-man-band, many other teens are involved in this organization, it was just kade's idea.

Get to Know You

24: A movie no one would expect you to love.

Wives and Daughters. i love that movie, i love most jane austens and elizabeth gaskel books made into movies. stuff like pride, and prejudice, sense and sensibility, emma, cranford, and more.

25: A recipe.

are you kidding? i'm a guy. i don't use a sissy recipe book or note. my mom tells me what to put in, and if i want to add a touch of genius to it i do it without being scolded by a darn book. everything else i do from the top of my head, or make up myself. and i cook a lot. strike that. . . i love to cook.

Get to Know You

Remedy Drive

I heard so much of you I wrote a book
Thick with facts of you that I heard were true
The critics read my work and they reviewed
"He wrote of things he'd heard but never really knew"

I’d say it's time that I get to know you
More then just what I’ve been told
I’d say it's time that I get to know you
I want to know from my soul

I was so close but I was still without
How could I be so right and still be so wrong
You’re like a tune I’ve only heard about
Let me hear that song - hear it loud and strong!

I’d say it's time that I get to know you
More then just what I’ve been told
I’d say it's time that I get to know you
I want to know from my soul

i am way too humble for my own good. . . :)

19: A talent of yours.

i'm not boasting here, but i've heard that i can sing well, don't ask me, i'm too humble. :)

20: a hobby of yours.

you might call blogging a hobby, bleah would call it a lifestyle, but i'm not that far. sorry.

21: Something you know you do differently than most people.

i get really emmotional when i hear songs that say something along the lines of "i don't know how you love me like you do, it's so good to belong with you. . ." i totally get blown away by God's crazy love for me.

22: A website.

oh, that'll be easy. teens4orphans.org a organization that my older brother kade started, check it out and donate if you feel led to.

23: A way in which you want to be remembered.

i wan't to be remembered as a F-A-N-A-T-I-C for Jesus.

well i've finally made up for those days i missed, but i had legit reasons to miss them, i was busy all yesterday, like i was gone most of the day with my mom, mondays i'm not allowed on the computer, and sunday my uncle was in from california and i wanted to be with him (and i had a really good book.) saturday i was practicing frisbee with my team (yes i'm going to nc, and it's going to be awesome! ask me later.) so i've been swamped. ttfn!

i do not talk like a southerner!!

okay ya'll i was just thinkin', and i thought that y'all might have been thinking that because i use the word y'all and thinkin', that i talk with a big southern accent, but really i don't. really. you can ask hayley, hayden, or nathan (all followers of my blog, who also go to my church). just had to make that clear really quick. (i actually have a nice californian accent. :)

man this questions is the bunk! (sorry bleah.)

a favorite art piece.

esto no es bueno. (this is not good)

sunny with a hight of 333333333 F

okay, just had to say somethin' quick before i go get some dinner, because it's pretty crazy. just last week we got 10-12 inches of snow, and right now it's 60 degrees outside. it was like 'whoa, heat wave!' just had to say that.

songs that make me cry

a song that makes you cry.

oh. my. goodness. . . now why isn't it a movie that makes me cry, that woulda been easier (*wink, wink, hayley*) though there are a few songs that make me cry like:

Heaven Song
Phil Wickham

Because of Your Love
Phil Wickham

Yesterdays
Switchfoot

there are a few others but it would take too long to list.

Ky

oh and btw the quote i posted was from daylight, by remedy drive.

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

"the darkness mut proceed the dawn. . ."

"the darkness must proceed the dawn, so wait with me here, til the sunrise"

remember, light is coming, but night is just as real as the light. in the end light will win, and the eternal sunrise will be our rescue.

three more

a guilty pleasure.

well not really sure if i have a pleasure that makes me feel guilty.

a vacation you would like to take.

you know i'd have to think about that a while before i answered. maybe ecuador?

a person you admire.

there are so many people i admire, but i think i'd have to say a guy i met at teenpact. his name is jeremiah, he was only sixteen, but he acted like a twenty-five year old. at the end of teenpact they had us guess all the staffers ages, and i guessed jeremiah as twenty, i was more shocked than you know when i found out he was only sixteen.

oh and i was thinkin' about the songs i would have played at my wedding, and i'm going to have to add a few more songs.

This Road
Jars of Clay

The Way of the Cross
Mat Redman

Dare You to Move
Switchfoot

all of these songs were played at my mom and dad's wedding, i was six at that time, and i still remember those songs. they had the greatest songs ever at their wedding.

titles are so hard to come by these days. . .

a photo i've taken recently?

are you really sure? i mean, i don't really even have a camera anymore, so i mean really, you couldn't have picked a worse one for me. but i won't shirk out of this one, so here goes.

yeah, i know, not the greatest picture ever, but hey, i like never use a camera.
a song you want played at your wedding.
All the Way My Savior Leads Me!

All the way my Savior leads me,
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my Guide?

Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
Here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well;
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well.

All the way my Savior leads me,
Cheers each winding path I tread,
Gives me grace for every trial,
Feeds me with the living Bread.

Though my weary steps may falter
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see;
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see.

All the way my Savior leads me,
Oh, the fullness of His love!
Perfect rest to me is promised
In my Father’s house above.

When my spirit, clothed immortal,
Wings its flight to realms of day
This my song through endless ages:
Jesus led me all the way;
This my song through endless ages:
Jesus led me all the way.

we sang this song at my family's personal bible time today and i was convicted that God has every step planned, from the day i was born, to the day i get married, to the day i die. it's really an incredible song, so true, so good, and so comforting. i mean what honest Christian doesn't like the idea that God has your whole life planned out ahead of you?

uhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm. . .

yeah so the question today was a photo take of you over ten years ago. well i don't know if i'm going to answer it. one, because the computer i use doesn't have our old pictures on it, and i don't really fell like going through all those thousands of pic's. and unlike others who have answered this question, i wasn't exactly what you would call an angel when i was younger. now it'd be different if you asked for a pic nowaday's. . .

sorry to dissapoint, but too bad. . .

i know i'm fallin' behind, but. . .

day four question: Q: A favorite tv program.

A: I'd have to go with hayley, don't have cable, don't have a favorite tv program.

day five question: Q: A favorite quote.

A: "i don't know how you love me like you do, it's so good to belong with you."

either daniel, david, philip, or paul zach, the four brothers that make up the band remedy drive, wrote this in the song belong with you. i'm mean, why does God love us the way he does, and it's an amazing feeling to think that we belong to him.

moving on. . .

another favorite song for my birthday countdown thingy:

Rescue
Seabird

I'm pushing up daisies, I wish they were roses
I feel like I'm drowning but nobody knows it
I'm pushing up daisies, I wish they were roses
I feel like I'm dying, just want you to notice

somehow the grave has captured me
show me the man I used to be
just when I feel my breath is running out

the earth moves and you find me, alive but unworthy
broken and empty, but you don't care
cuz you are my rapture, you are my savior
when all my hope is gone, I reach for you
you are my rescue
you are my rescue

I'm swimming to safety, but even with my best
if I don't see that rope soon, this might be my last breath

somehow the grave has captured me
show me the man I used to be
just when I feel my breath is running out

the earth moves and you find me, alive but unworthy
broken and empty, but you don't care
because you are my rapture, you are my savior
when all my hope is gone, I reach for you
you are my rescue

don't let me drown can you hear me
cuz I am callin' out
I'm underground
won't you pull me out

the earth moves and you find me, alive but unworthy
broken and empty, but you don't care
because you are my rapture, you are my savior
when all my hope is gone, I reach for you
you are my rescue
you are my rescue
yeah, you are my rescue
yeah! you are my rescue

I'm pushing up daisies, I wish they were roses
I feel like I'm dying, just want you to notice...

"Many think I only test and train, and bend to My Will. I love to plan glad surprises for those who understand and joy in them."

i have a gadget on my home page called reminders from God, and this was the quote today. i love my little gadget, it is so awesome, y'all should totally get it.

Hope, tangled, and some extremely crazy love from an overwhelming God!

so i missed yesterday's question so i'll do two today, but only one song.

Q: A favorite movie?

A: oh gosh, this is hard, i really have no clue what my favorite movie is, and since everyone else would say either narnia or lotr, i'll chose a different one. oh yes, tangled, that's my answer.

Q: A favorite book?

A: i don't know, i read a ton, but i'd have to go with haydener and say crazy love by francis chan.

Hope
Remedy Drive

What a beautiful sight for the worn and weary eye
The glimmering light in the corner of a broken sky
Hope sweet hope like a star burning bright
When the sun goes down and the fears begin to fly

Hope’s not giving up
Hope’s not giving up
In a cold dark night she’s not giving
Not giving up

Hold on tight this city’s about to break
In the middle of the night lying there wide awake
Hope sweet hope how much more can she take
Being our strength when our hearts are out of faith

Hope’s not giving up
Hope’s not giving up
In a cold dark night she’s not giving
Not giving up

Hope is with me in my time of trouble
When it all comes crashing down she will stay
By my side digging through the rubble
She’s not giving up - not giving up - not giving up

Hope’s not giving up
Hope’s not giving up
In a cold dark night she’s not giving
Not giving up

i've recently started to really like remedy drive, and they are making their way up to becoming one of my favorite bands very quickly. i hope you enjoy the song, and until tomorrow!

blogger challenge, and my birthday thingy. . .

okay, so i agreed to do a blogger challenge thing with Bleah and a few other select, and i also wanted to do something else in celebration of the week before my birthday. the thing i decided to do for my birthday was writing down one of my favorite songs everyday leading up to my birthday. the first question goes along with my birthday-week thing.

Q: A favorite song.
A: Valuable, by Remedy Drive.

The scar that's in my side says
As the sea is wide my love is more so
I’m everything you need
Don’t you know the blood I bleed is for you - don't you know

I bridged the gap you see
I’ll supply your every lack and need
To bring you back to me
You’re so valuable

Child can't you see
You’re worth more than all the world to me - you're priceless
You’re the iris in my eye
And I hold you up so high - I hold you priceless

I bridged the gap you see
I’ll supply your every lack and need
To bring you back to me
You’re so valuable

Don’t you know
You’re worth so much to me
Don’t you know

I crossed the line it's true
When I left my throne behind for you
I gave it all for you
You’re so valuable

Don’t you know
Don’t you know

if you haven't heard this song before, YOU HAVE TO!

Ky

p.s. please look this song up.
